NYC Vibes Vibe of the Month: Official Rules
No purchase necessary to take part or win. Buying anything does not earn points.
1. Who runs it
The contest is run by NYC Vibes Hookah Lounge, 2610 S Hwy 6, Houston, TX 77082 (the "Sponsor").
nYtevibe provides the app used to post vibes. It is not the Sponsor.
Apple and Google do not sponsor this contest and have no part in it.
2. Who can take part
- You must be 21 or older and a legal resident of the United States.
- Employees and owners of NYC Vibes, and their immediate families, can't take part.
- Void where prohibited.
3. When
- The contest runs every calendar month, starting November 1, 2026.
- Points reset to zero at the start of each month.
- The month's points close at closing time on the last day of the month.
- The winner is announced within 7 days after the month closes (see section 6).
4. How to earn points
Points are the standard nYtevibe app points. Only points earned at NYC Vibes during the calendar month count:

Points earned at other venues, and for other app actions (votes, follows, pokes, vibe-check requests and responses), don't count toward this contest.
How points are counted and checked:
- The app enforces location: check-ins and vibes have to be made at the venue.
- Anonymous vibes count. The ranking is worked out from the app's records, and anonymous posters are never shown publicly.
- "Month" and "day" use Houston time.
- The Sponsor (with nYtevibe) totals the points from the app's records after the month closes. That total is the official record.
- A vibe you delete, or that is removed by moderation, doesn't count. Vibes posted by the venue itself don't count.
- NYC Vibes owners and staff (current or former) can't take part.
- At most 2 check-ins per person per day count (Houston time).
- Accounts that are suspended, disabled, banned or restricted from posting vibes when the month closes can't win, and neither can deleted accounts.
- Fake or automated activity, use of more than one account, location spoofing, and vibes that are deleted, or removed for breaking the nYtevibe Community Guidelines, earn no points. Points earned that way may be taken away.
- Daily cap: at most 100 points per person per day (Houston time) count toward the contest. Points above the cap still count in the app, just not here.
5. The prizes
The top 3 point totals each calendar month win perks. Each perk is used once during the following calendar month, on a day the winner picks.

Prize conditions:
- Each perk is for the winner in person. NYC Vibes checks ID for 21+ at the door, as on any visit.
- To claim a perk, open the live prize QR in the nYtevibe app (shown after you accept) and let NYC Vibes staff scan it. The code changes every few seconds and needs a data connection, so screenshots aren't accepted. Staff then mark that perk used.
- A perk not used by the last day of the following calendar month (Houston time) expires and doesn't carry over.
- Perks can't be exchanged for cash and can't be transferred.
- Food, alcohol, cover for other guests and tips are not included.
- The Sponsor may swap in a perk of equal or greater value if it has to.
- Approximate total retail value: 1st $180, 2nd $80, 3rd $30.
6. How the winners are decided
- The three people with the most points in the calendar month win, in that order.
- Ties: the tied person who reached the total first (by the time of their last counted check-in or vibe) ranks higher.
- If more than 100 points land on one day, only the part up to 100 counts.
- nYtevibe checks the ranking and sends each winner a prize offer by in-app notification within 7 days of the month's close.
- A winner must accept the prize in the app. Until they accept, NYC Vibes is not told who they are.
- Accepting shares the winner's nYtevibe username with NYC Vibes so it can give the prize.
- If a winner declines, doesn't accept within 7 days of the offer, or doesn't meet these rules, the offer goes to the next-highest scorer.
- After a winner accepts, NYC Vibes may cancel the prize only if the winner doesn't meet these rules (for example, is under 21), and must record the reason.
- Every month is a fresh start, so past winners can win again.
7. Your vibe post
- Points never depend on what you say in a vibe, positive or negative.
- Taking part never requires buying anything or paying cover.
- Anonymous and friends-only posts are fine and still count. They stay private: NYC Vibes learns who a winner is only if that winner accepts the prize.
8. Your information
The Sponsor and nYtevibe use app activity at the venue only to rank this contest and contact the winners. NYC Vibes receives a winner's username only after the winner accepts. Winners' details are kept for 90 days after each month closes and then destroyed.
Information in the nYtevibe app is covered by the nYtevibe Privacy Policy (nytevibe.com/privacy).
9. The usual terms
- By taking part, you agree to these rules and to the Sponsor's decisions, which are final.
- The Sponsor may cancel, pause or change the contest if something outside its control prevents running it fairly.
- Winners are responsible for any taxes on the prize.
- Hookah contains tobacco and/or nicotine products and is for adults 21+ only.
